Nigerians Mark Ashura Ceremony

This is not karbala, Iran, Iraq or Lebenon, it is Ashura procession in Nigeria 2018.

An unprecedented number of Ashura mourners turned up for this year’s Ashura mourning processions in different parts of Nigeria, much to the dismay of enemies in and out of the Movement, who had tried in vain to thwart the occurrence and impact of the event, or limit its occurrence to only one location.

On 10th of Muharram, millions of followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) marked Ashura commemoration on the Martyrdom of Imam Husain, the grandson of prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), in Nigerian Capital Abuja and major towns and cities across the country including Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Zaria, Sokoto, Bauchi, Yola, Yobe and others.

We bring to you some sights of the momentous event from across the country.
